Pennington County Emergency Management Integrated Campaign

Message was pleased to have the opportunity to work with Rapid City Pennington County Emergency Management to help launch a public service campaign touting the importance of building a home emergency kit.

We all do simple things to prepare in our everyday lives. We tie our shoes. Lock the door. Put on a bike helmet.  And break out the oven mitts when handling the tator tot casserole. We wanted to tie into these basic human truths and show that building an emergency kit is simple too. All work would tie into a unifying position: Being prepared is simple.

We leveraged this position across print, radio, outdoor and non-traditional. A public education program will be executed across various media outlets, community events and in local schools. In addition, a social campaign will be launched by the PCEM team asking people to share stories, video or photos of how a kit helped them out in an emergency. One grand prize winner will receive a $250 Sears gift card.
